If you’re doing it right, there’s a four-day weekend in your future.
Is JJ Watt working for CVS?
Recently retired NFL (National Football League) player JJ Watt tried to prank everyone on social media by saying he got a new job at CVS. His grandma has been telling people that. He has a new job at CBS Sports, where he will be covering the NFL season. So check him out when the season starts this fall.
The Match (Golf)
We had the latest iteration of The Match, where Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs took on Steph Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors. Kelsey and Mahomes defied the odds and beat the basketball duo to win the matching gold Tiffany bracelets. I know that's what you thought they were in it for, right? In the eight iterations of the match, the tournament has raised $35 million for charity. If you remember, in 2018, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson faced off, which was the first edition. And since then, they've raised $35 million for charity.
NBA (National Basketball Association) Free Agency
Today is kind of the official first day of free agency in the NBA. Teams now have the right to negotiate with players but can't sign contracts until July 6. Big names like James Harden, Draymond Green and Kyrie Irving are up for grabs. If you hang out with basketball people, this is fun to discuss.
NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) + Chicago
And, of course, if you're in Chicago and visiting for the holiday, there is a big NASCAR race. This is their first time doing a street course in the city.
